The Barclaycard Mercury Prize is great for music lovers everywhere. We say that because it celebrates music from the big superstars to the underground artists who are creating their own scene in the industry.
To continue the gig series which has been taking place, this Wednesday 24th October joint headliners The Maccabees, Michael Kiwanuka and Alt-J will be performing at LSO St. Luke’s in London raising money for War Child. The charity assists children who are affected by the conflict around the world, and this is a great way for them and you to show support. Even though it is free to get a ticket, a donation of £10 will be made to War Child. If you’re a Barclaycard user, Barclaycard will be matching all donations made.
Want to grab yourself a ticket? Well hurry, because from 10am this morning you can apply for a ticket for the next 48 hours through a special ballot system in association with Barclaycard Unwind and their partner The Ticket Factory. If you want to get your hands on a ticket, go here!
If you’re unable to watch the live show in person, you can catch the tracks and interviews on Channel 4 via their coverage on this year’s Prize. Each of the artists will feature in a dedicated programme
on 31st October, with the Mercury Prize Awards Show taking place on November 1st.
