With a chance meeting by rapping in a radio station hallway for the superstar that is Kanye West in 2005, Big Sean signed to Island Def Jam through Kanye’s own G.O.O.D Music in 2008. This saw him release his first solo mixtape ‘Finally Famous, Vol. 1′ in 2007 which received over 60,000 downloads.
After joining Kanye West on tour in 2009 and having his second mixtape ‘You Know Big Sean’ be named as The Second Best Mixtape by BET, he has been asked to represent the future of G.O.O.D Music and is currently recording his second album. “I want my album to be something that people can include themselves in,” he says. “I want people to be able to relate to it in the sense that if you’re doing something and you’re being recognized for it, you are finally famous.”
